First single off our upcoming EP ' Gamma Gardening ' out April 5, 2019!
Gamma Gardening is the story of a space dominatrix named Serpentina that takes a day job as receptionist for a gene editing lab. She has an affair with a scientist who she codes a designer baby with that can withstand high atmospheric pressure, breathe underwater and never age. The Atomic Gardening Society finds out, and steals their baby for testing so they can code babies like it to live and work in their Gamma Garden Utopia Cult. Serpentina ultimately hangs herself with a belt.
This was the first song that inspired the character and story of the EP. I wrote the bass line and lyrics to this song when I had to get the serpentine belt replaced in my 1995 Dodge Caravan. I got an oil change and the dude there told me the belt looked like it was about to snap and if it did then I would lose control of the whole car and die. So after I bought a new Serpentine Belt at autozone, I for some reason started to personify my minivan as a sexy dominatrix named Serpentina that could kill me with her belt. To take control of this weird paranoid thought, I changed the story so that Serpentina kills herself with the belt.
lyrics
Tell me tell me what you did
Tell me where you hid
Soaking in those chemical rays
Of your sweet scale fresh graze
Did you know that they'd take our child
What's done is done
Can't blame it on a higher power
Today's a new day
No need for accusation
Put your gloves away
There's nothing left for me to say
Serpentina
how did it come to this
What're you gonna do with that belt
Don't let me lose my sense of
Tell me tell me what you did
Tell me where you hid
Soaking in those chemical rays
Of your sweet scale fresh graze
Today's a new day
No need for investigation
Put your gloves away
There's nothing I'm allowed to say
Serpentina
how did it come to this
What're you gonna do with that belt
Don't let me lose my sense of smell
